ONE ILOCOS SUR!!!

A celebration honoring the split of the two Ilocos provinces in 1818 held in the province of Ilocos Sur. The best Ilocano cuisine is prepared in cooking demonstrations at this event, which also features indigenous entertainment and religious rituals. One of the well-known festivities in Locos Sur is the Kannawidan Ilocos Festival. It honors the rich culture and traditions of Ilocos Sur as well as its independence from Locos Norte. A happy event is conducted in Ilocos Sur called the Kannawidan event.

Street dancing, cultural performances, a float procession, a gourmet festival, and sporting events are just a few of the many things that happen throughout the festival. The festival also has a trade expo where regional companies and company owners can exhibit their goods and services.

The big procession on the final day of the Kannawidan Festival is among the most eagerly awaited activities. This celebration includes traditional performances by local artists as well as an exhibition of Ilocano music, dances, and arts.

The Kannawidan Festival is significant to me because it showcases native entertainment, religious rites, and cooking demonstrations of the finest Ilocano cuisine. There are several events planned during Kannawidan, including competitions, traditional games, cultural performances, fireworks displays, comedy evenings, and entertainment. One festival, one sound, one voice—all of Ilocos Sur!
